**Q:** my vac 100 has worked fine up until a couple days ago, now for some reason the vacumn bar can't seem to get above 95%, which makes the products in the bag loose, I always used the number 1 factory setting which has been fine until now. I have even tried to change the vacumn time to 35 seconds which seem to make no difference i use to get 98 to 99% on my vacumn bar which worked fine, i just changed the oil thinking that might make a difference, but didnt.I checked the lid gasket for damage, where both sides of the gasket meet at the back of the machine, there is a small connection point where their split that has a real small opening, which i can send a picture of can you please help thanks Maurice ph # is 503-348-1713Maurice wood asked on January 7, 2022

Vac100 Lid Chamber Gasket (Seamless) slowly degrades over time, due to the draw of the vacuum and constantly putting pressure on it. Eventually the gasket will shred and deform from the constant pressure causing small vacuum leaks. Shredding does not mean you have a leak. It merely means you could potentially have a leak. Eventually, you will see your pouches not having all the air removed even though your operations/program have not changed. This is a good indicator that your unit has a leak and could potentially mean you need to replace the Lid Chamber Gasket.
Keep in mind that this is only one variable that could be leading to a vacuum leak. Seal bar lift pistons could be leaking as well as any hose underneath the chamber. Please feel free to call us if you need help in the diagnosis of your machine’s issues.
