**Q:** Can these containers be used for marinating?Liam Arkwright asked on October 15, 2024
**A:** Yes! By putting a vacuum on your meat it opens up the pores and lets it take up marinate more quickly. You don't want to put too much vacuum on the VacLok canisters or else they may be damaged. We recommend a 5.0 second vacuum on the small 0.7 liter canister, 6.0 seconds on the medium 1.0 liter canister, and 7.0 seconds on the large 1.3 liter canister.
VacLok Small Canister (0.7 liter) is perfect for vacuum sealing a variety of wet and dry food items. Vac100-310 compatible only! Pull a higher vacuum than our previous plastic canister sets with superior canister integrity! You can also purchase all three stainless steel canister sizes in our VacLock canister set and it comes with a free hand pump!

Great investment. I uses these for shredded cheese, strawberries, lettuce, and other foods that can go bad before I can eat it. Food lasts longer using the VacLok canisters. Easy to use with the Vac100 and the hand pump comes in handy. No wasted food! I own five this size.
